The client

What Howard Strickland does

Howard Strickland has spent a lifetime preaching and teaching. This site turns that body of work into a library people can actually use, rather than a list of files.

It sits alongside Coastal Community Church, where he serves as pastor, and keeps the study tools a reader needs on the same site as the sermon.

Who they serve

Scope

What we built

Every feature has a job: helping visitors understand, trust and act.

01

A sermon on every page

Each message has its own readable, shareable page.

02

Search by topic, scripture or keyword

Readers find a sermon the way they think about it, not by date.

03

Built-in King James Bible

Scripture is available on the site, so study doesn’t mean leaving the page.

04

Glossary and study notes

Terms and background explained alongside the teaching.

05

A purpose-built ministry plugin

The library runs on a custom WordPress plugin that also powers sermon content elsewhere in the network.

UX & UI

Design decisions

The choices that shape how visitors experience the site, and why we made them.

01 Reading first

Long-form typography and generous spacing, because these pages are read, not skimmed.

02 Study tools beside the sermon

Bible, glossary and notes live with the content, keeping readers in context.

03 Findability over volume

A large archive is only useful if the right message is easy to reach.
