For a local business, your Google Business Profile and your website work as a pair. People often find you on the map first, then click through to the website to decide. When the two disagree about your phone number, address, services or hours, it creates doubt at exactly the wrong moment.
Match the basics exactly
Your business name, address and phone number should read the same everywhere. Small differences, like “Suite 210” on one and “#210” on the other, are usually fine, but a different phone number or an old address is not.
Link to the right page
If you have one location, linking the profile to your homepage works. If you have several, link each profile to that location’s own page so visitors land on the right address and hours.
Use the same service names
If your profile lists “Kitchen Remodeling” as a service, have a page or section on your website with that name. Consistent language helps customers confirm they found the right business.
Photos tell the same story
Upload recent photos to your profile and use some of the same ones on your website. Real photos of your work, your team and your space build trust faster than stock images.
Check it quarterly
Set a reminder every three months to compare the two side by side. It takes ten minutes and catches the small drift that builds up over a year.
